Called to be a healer, Dr. Herold chose the path of becoming a chiropractic physician.  After training in clinical neuroscience/functional neurology through the Carrick Institute for Graduate Studies, he is also a specialist in functional neurology, Board Certified by the American Chiropractic Neurology Board. During his undergraduate work he studied biology and philosophy at the University of Minnesota.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and in 2002 earned his Doctorate in Chiropractic, graduating with honors from Northwestern Health Sciences University.  Dr. Herold has received additional training in many other healing arts including training in CranioSacral Therapy from the Upledger Institute, Bioenergetic Synchronization from Morter Health Systems, acupuncture theory and technique at NWHSU and Qi Gong with instructor and publisher John DuCane to name a few.  Besides studying the healing arts and sciences, Stefan enjoys hiking, camping, kayaking, skiing, reading, video games, crafting medieval armor, playing with his animals, (cat, dwarf goat, and chickens) and most of all spending time with Lee, his beautiful wife for over 20 years.

Practice Style: With over a decade of clinical experience, Stefan enjoys incorporating a wide variety of healing techniques tailored to the needs of each individual patient.  Services offered: Chiropractic Adjustments (traditional and low force techniques), Functional Neurology and Rehabilitation, Functional Medicine and lifestyle modification, soft tissue therapies and physiotherapies, CranioSacral Therapy and various reflex and energetic based modalities.

Dr. Herold also utilizes the most up to date diagnostic and laboratory testing to get to the bottom of the cause of your health challenges.

What is functional neurology?  Functional neurology is the clinical science of treating the brain and body the way it was designed to function – through sensory inputs.  Our brains job is to respond to the environment.  Stimuli such as touch, stretch, movement, light, sound or smell are what ultimately drive all brain function.  Rather than intrusively affecting the brain through the tools of medical neurology (drugs and/or surgery), chiropractic neurology utilizes these natural pathways to improve function and increase adaptability and cellular viability to decrease the effects of aging, injury or degenerative changes on future health.

My Pledge to You:  I will always take time for you: to listen, to educate and offer hope.

"To touch is to heal, to hurt is to steal.  If you want to kiss the sky, you'd better learn how to kneel."  -Bono
